In software, architecture is just a fancy word for the plan or blueprint used to organize how an app is built.

Architecture as a Blueprint

The MVC pattern splits an application into three specialized sections so that no single part has to do everything.

The Big Three Parts

Think of the Model as the Chef, the Controller as the Waiter, and the View as the Table where you eat.

When you interact with the app, your request travels in a specific loop through all three parts to give you an answer.

When you tap a button, the Controller catches that signal first to decide if the data needs to be updated.

Keeping the parts separate means you can change the look of the app without breaking the data behind it.

When the Model gets new information, it sends a signal so the View can refresh and show you the latest update.

Organizing code this way makes it much simpler to add new features as the app gets larger and more complex.

Graphic designers can work on the View while programmers work on the Model at the same time without getting in each other's way.

If the screen looks wrong, you know exactly where to look for the mistake because the roles are clearly divided.

Because the Model is independent, you can use the same data for a website and a phone app without starting over.
